Herbert built the home for his family in the early 1900s and the ladies of the family continued to live there after his early death until it was left to the National Trust upon the passing of the last remaining Porter daughter. On display are gifts the girls received, a tiny tea set, tin toys, dolls and copies of the Christmas Annual.
Festive postcards exchanged with family and friends will be on display. Read the heartwarming messages written on the back of them.
