Lake Macquarie Police District trail bike squad has taken custody of some new toys today.
Two new bikes have been put through their paces.
These officers patrol the extensive network of trails and remote areas that are often inaccessible to traditional police vehicles.
They also play a role of enhancing public safety around popular community infrastructure, including the Fernleigh Track, Speers Point Park, Pasterfield Oval and The Watagan Mountains.
