Man charged after shot gun allegedly found in ceiling

A man is in hot water with police after officers allegedly found a sawn-off shot gun hidden in the ceiling of a home in Argenton.

Just after 4pm on Wednesday police arrested the 36 – year- old in relation to stealing offences in Glendale back in February and fraud in Warner’s Bay in March.

When searched, officers allegedly found the man in possession of stolen groceries and a prescribed restricted substance and as a result then attended a residence in McLaughlin Street where the sawn-off shotgun and ammunition was allegedly located.

The man has been charged with larceny and possession of a shorted firearm among other offences.

He will face Toronto Local Court today.
