A man has copped an eye watering fine after being stung doing 45km over the speed limit in Lake Macquarie.
Just before 1pm on Wednesday the Cameron Park man was allegedly detected driving a Toyota Camry at 172km per hour in a 110 zone on the M1 at Morriset.
The 22- years- olds license was immediately suspend for six months and his number plates seized for three.
He was fined $2794 and six demerit points.
