A man will front court in relation to firearms offences.
Just before 10am yesterday, police from Port Stephens Hunter Command conducted a search on a home in Segenhoe Street, Woodberry, in relation to a weapon and firearms prohibition order.
During the search they located two semi automatic pistols, one with a missing functioning slide.
A man was arrested and taken to Maitland Police Station where he was charged with numerous offences including possession of an unauthorised pistol.
He was refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court today.
