COVID-19 cases in Newcastle and the Hunter reach 38

COVID-19 cases in Newcastle and the Hunter have reached 38.

The latest update from NSW Health for the 24 hours to 8pm last night shows a record 356 locally acquired COVID-19 cases across the State, 13 of those in the Hunter New England Health District.

There are no cases today in Armidale or Tamworth, all 13 cases are in the Newcastle and Hunter region.

That brings the total to 38 cases.

  • 10 are from Newcastle LGA. 3 are from Lake Macquarie LGA
  • 3 of the cases are under investigation
