Stay Safe This School Holidays

Police are urging motorists to take extra care on the roads over the school holidays.

Students will be on their winter break over the next two weeks, until July 24th, 2018.

Officers are reminding us to be mindful of an increase in children around their local areas, who may be walking or riding bikes near the road.

They’ll also be out in force to make sure everyone stays safe over the next fortnight.

Chief Inspector, Bruce McGregor says drivers should be ‘extra vigilant.’

“Reduce the speeds, look further ahead…and try and stay away from poor driving behaviour and other motorists that may not be complying.”
