A Newcastle couple is now $1 million richer, after taking out the top prize in Wednesday night’s Lotto draw.
The win came at the perfect time, with the pair about to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
They’re now planning to give up work and use their winnings to retire early.
The winning ticket was sold at NewsXpress at Wallsend.
Meanwhile, three lucky workmates have also won big in the latest Super Jackpot Draw.
The Raymond Terrace trio took out the First Prize $100, 000 after buying a ticket at the Lakeside Village Newsagency.
