A man has been charged after he was allegedly found to be drink driving through New Lambton this morning.
Police were conducting Random Breath Tests on Kings Road just before 1am.
The officers signaled for a man to pull over but he allegedly drove past them.
Officers eventually stopped the 34-year-old on Glebe Road at Adamstown where he reportedly failed the initial breath test.
Another test at Newcastle Police Station returned an alleged reading of 0.164.
The man has been charged with high range drink driving, not obeying police and breaching bail.
