As there are still many people in our community who need help to
learn essential digital skills and navigate their way online, The Place Charlestown works with community members and high school
students across the Hunter Region, training them to become digital mentors who can
support their family, friends and community members over 50 improve their
digital literacy skills.

Being a digital mentor is not only about technical skills, it is about being good with
people, inspiring and supporting them to take their first steps towards using computers,
mobile devices, and the internet.

If you take delight in helping others, or to want to assist people you may be working with,
join us for our upcoming Digital Mentor training session on Monday, 24 July from 9am –
4pm at The Place: Charlestown.
