Celebrate the end of the year with one of the Hunter Region’s finest musical exports. Cellist Anthony Albrecht, known for his “dramatic flair” and “fluent and virtuosic” performances (Seen and Heard International, Sydney Morning Herald) will perform a recital at Adamstown Uniting Church. Anthony invites you to escape the Christmas mania by immersing yourself in the sounds of his 300-year-old cello. Since graduating from The Juilliard School’s Historical Performance program in 2014, Anthony has become a passionate advocate for classical music touring in regional Australia.
Anthony performs two of J.S. Bach’s cello suites and other works for baroque cello, interspersed with fascinating commentary. Anthony returns to Australia regularly from his home in London to play with groups such as Pinchgut Opera, the Australian Haydn Ensemble and Adelaide Baroque. Bring your friends for a beautiful afternoon get together, at the Adamstown Uniting Church on the 22nd of December.
