Drivers Suspended for Speeding through Singleton

Police have allegedly caught two drivers travelling more than 80km/h over the speed limit through Singleton last night.

Officers reportedly spotted the cars driving at speeds around 140km/h through a 60km/h zone on Queen Street at about 10pm.

They tried to stop one of the cars but the driver allegedly didn’t pull over straight away.

A breath test of the 24-year-old driver reportedly returned a reading of 0.059.

The man had his licence suspended for six months and was issued a vehicle standards offence notice.

He will front court in May.

The 23-year-old driver of the second car also had his licence suspended for six months.
