Three Arrested Over Anti-Coal Protest

The Hunter’s coal network was temporally halted this morning following a protest at Sandgate.

The disruption occurred at around 7am when one activist setup a large tripod and suspended herself above the train tracks.

The incident was live-streamed by two other protesters, and uploaded to the Frontline Action on Coal Facebook page.

All three were arrested by police.

It’s believed the stunt stopped trains for around three hours.
