Newcastle City Council has confirmed they will be offering financial assistance to businesses affected by the construction of the light rail network.
The Council will be providing a rebate for half of the City Centre Special Rate for the 2018-19 financial year.
The assistance is available to the tenants of a property or the property owners, provided the rebate is passed on to the leasing business.
